- Is an Individual member of Ohio Biological Survey at a regular, retired or lifetime member. Or serves as an Institutional member representative.
- Know the organization’s mission, policies, programs, and needs
- Prepare for, attend, and conscientiously participate in quarterly board meetings and important related meetings including special board work sessions.
- Faithfully read and understand the organization’s financial statements
- Makes serious commitment to participate actively in one or more committees
- Stays informed about committee matters, prepares themselves well for meetings, and review sand comments on minutes and reports.
- Leverage connections, networks, and resources to develop collective action to fully achieve the organization’s mission
- Serve as active advocates and ambassadors for the organization and fully engage in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary for the organization to advance
- Essential service includes attending and actively participating in Quarterly OBS meetings, committee meetings and the Ohio Natural History Conference
- Additional support assistance to OBS staff when attending joint meetings and conferences where OBS is a vendor (ex: Division of Wildlife Diversity Conference, Vernalpoolooza etc.)
